Red Stag

Materials Guide

What we build with — and why it lasts.

Every Red Stag project starts with a material decision. These are the four hardwoods we work with most, ranked by density, climate fit, and how they age in Los Angeles.

Materials We Specialize In

Tropical hardwoods, built for LA's climate.

We import, kiln-dry, and machine our own hardwood — every board hand-graded for color, grain, and dimensional stability before it leaves the shop. No mystery lumber, no big-box redwood, no shortcuts.
